Strategic Plan Thriving Clubs for a New Generation - Further consultation

7 July 2021

Following the publication of “Thriving Clubs for a New Generation”, the Board of British Orienteering is looking for volunteers to participate in one of a series of focus groups to assist in implementing this strategic plan for the sport.

There will be four focus groups looking at each of the strategic themes.  Each focus group will consider how British Orienteering can achieve the objectives and what would have the most impact on the development of the sport.

The Terms of Reference for each theme are below:

British Orienteering is keen to hear from members, who would be interested in sharing their views on one of the strategic themes. With the spotlight on younger age groups and inclusion, we would particularly welcome involvement from families, young people and those from under represented groups.

If this could be you, then please consider joining us on one of the following dates, or assist us by helping us to identify someone else in your Association or Club that can. The focus group meetings will take place online via Teams on dates and times to be agreed.

If you are interested, simply email your name, which focus group you’d like to take part in and a short statement to peter.hart@britishorienteering.org.uk explaining your background albeit voluntary or professional. Each focus group will be limited and based on the criteria within the Terms of Reference and experience.

Your input is very important to us. Please help us plan our route for the next five years.

Please feel free to contact Peter Hart if you require further information.
