WORLD CUP 2022 Round #2 European Orienteering Championships Rakvere/Estonia, 3 - 7 August 2022

Next week sees the start of World Cup Round 2 and European Orienteering Championships, held in Rakvere, Estonia, the most important forest orienteering event for the GB athletes this year.
The first event will take place on the 3 August with the Middle-Distance Qualification, on Thursday the Long, followed by the Middle final on Saturday and the Relay on Sunday after a rest day on the 5 August.
Great Britain is sending a team of 14 athletes supported by Mark Saunders and Alice Bedwell and includes World Individual Sprint Champion Megan Carter-Davies in the women’s alongside fresh faces to the Senior team Rachel Brown and Chloe Potter.
In the men’s Ralph Street will be looking to add to his collection this year after a 2nd in the Sprint Relay at the World Orienteering Championships and 3rd in the same event at the World Games, and again joined by Peter Molloy who steps up after competing in disrupted JWOC earlier this year.
