Job Vacancy - Find Your Way Project Officer

British Orienteering has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full time Find Your Way Project Officer.

 

This is your chance to join an organisation full of opportunity and excitement as we look forward to the 2024 World Orienteering Championships and delivery of a new strategic plan.

 

Reporting directly to the Partnerships Manager, the successful applicant will be required to lead and coordinate the delivery of a 18 month place-based orienteering project. The project builds on the success and development of the Maprun app and aims to deliver accessible orienteering opportunities to new communities with a specific focus on lower socio-economic groups, those less active and hard to reach communities.

 

Principle duties include, but are not limited to:

 

•            The overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, and delivering the project.

•            Working with and providing high-quality support to orienteering clubs delivering the project in identified areas.

•            Monitor, evaluate and review the project, implementing on-going improvements and sharing learning across the organisation.

 

This post is a full-time role currently fixed term for 18 months, with potential for continuation subject to funding. Our head office is based in Derbyshire, and this role will require a mix of office and homeworking.
