Bob Dredge is stepping down as Chair of Talent & Performance Committee after many years.
During his tenure, Bob has used his wealth of experience and expertise to lead the group to a very successful period including individual and team medals at Junior and Senior World Championships.
On behalf of British Orienteering, we thank him for his leadership of this group and his contribution towards the achievements of the programme.
Bob is remaining in post until the recruitment process has been completed to aid a smooth transfer.
British Orienteering is looking to recruit an influential and knowledgeable individual to act as Chair of the Performance Pathway Steering Group (PPSG). The Terms of Reference for the PPSG have been refreshed and are available here and the Job Description of the role is here.
Applicants are welcome from members of British Orienteering with relevant experience of Performance Sport.
Applicants should refer to the person specification as to both the desirable and essential criteria related to this position.
The Chair will lead the PPSG in the oversight of the Performance Pathway Programme aligned to the British Orienteering Strategy “Thriving Clubs for a New Generation”.
It is expected that the Chair will act as an ambassador for the British Orienteering and the Performance Pathway Programme and establish relationships with key stakeholders.
