This year's competition takes place in Bansko,a town in southwestern Bulgaria, located at the foot of the Pirin mountain at an elevation of 950 m above sea level.
The first two races of the competition will see athletes competing amongst a Mix of terrain from urban and park areas. The Middle Distance and Relay races will move to terrain that is 1000 and 1300m above sea level with lots of hill slides, steep slopes and will be made up of mostly coniferous forest.
