From 1 November 2024, we will be inviting members to renew their annual membership with us for 2025! However, you can stay one step ahead and set up a new Direct Debit or make any changes to your current set up now.
Existing members who wish to set up a new direct debit, make any changes or cancel their direct debit are invited to do so by Friday 18 October.
Why should I set up a direct debit?
Once you sign up via direct debit payment, your membership will automatically renew each year. Our form is easy to complete and backed by the Direct Debit Guarantee, making it a safe & secure payment method. You can, of course, cancel your direct debit at any time, by contacting your bank or building society.
How do I do it?
Simply download the below form and return to the office via email or post. Please note, we cannot accept email mandates.
Why now?
We process our direct debit payment once a year in early December for the following year. By having the direct debit payments in advance, we are able to make the process more seamless, which is why we have put a deadline of midnight Friday 18 October for all requests to be submitted.
Please note that payments set up for direct debit will be taken from your account in December ready for your membership to start in January 2025.
I already have a direct debit payment set up – do I need to do anything else?
No. If you already have a direct debit payment set up with us, your membership will automatically renew in January 2024.
I’d prefer to renew my membership another way.
If you would prefer to renew your membership in another way, you can do so via the following methods:
Online
Membership renewals will go live on 1 November 2024.
Any member that has not set up a direct debit, can continue to renew in their usual way by logging into your online account. Our team are happy to assist you over the phone if you are having any difficulties.
If you wish to renew your membership online for 2025, you will simply need to login to your account and select the box that says “renew”.
Please note that payment taken via direct debit will be taken in December ready for your 2025 membership to start. Your current membership will continue as normal until 31 December 2024.
Cheque
We still accept membership payments via cheque. Members wishing to renew their membership for 2025, should return the renewal form that they will have received previously, and a cheque made payable to British Orienteering to the National Office.
If you no longer have your renewal form, please telephone the National Office to obtain your fees.
