The 2019 IOF World TrailO Championship (WTOC) is taking place in Portugal from the 23-29th June.
The GBR TrailO team are setting off for the event this week and will be training from this Thursday in Portugal. At the weekend, there is a 2-day "warm-up" event in Penamacor which also counts as a round in the European TrailO Cup.
The World Championships begin in nearby Idanha a Nova next Monday, June 24th.

The GBR team for the PreO is:-
Para: Colin Duckworth TVOC, Richard Keighley WIM
Open: Charles Bromley Gardner BAOC, Tom Dobra BOK, John Kewley MDOC with Peter Huzan SLOW and Ian Ditchfield MV, joining the team for the TempO competition.
Most of the team have competed at previous World Championships, Dick Keighley having been in the team on and off since 2001, but Pete Huzan, and Colin Duckworth, the planner of this year’s JK Sprint event, are making their WTOC debuts.
The PreO competition is held on 25/6 and 27/6 PreO Days 1 and 2 (PreO results are from the 2 days combined)
28/6 TrailO Relay
A 3 person team will be selected by the Team Manager Liz Urquhart from those present
29/6 TempO (no separation of Open and Para - there is a separate qualifier and final)
The selected team for the TempO event is Ian Ditchfield MVOC, Tom Dobra BOK, Peter Huzan SLOW, John Kewley MDOC
All individual competitions will be world ranking events.
