Over the late spring and early summer months British Orienteering ran a Photo Competition with prizes kindly donated by Cotswold Outdoor.
Did you know? British Orienteering members receive 15% off at Cotswold Outdoor, you can find out more here.
The theme of the photo competition was “Celebrating the Sport of Orienteering!” and we received a record number of 56 entries for this competition. It is great to hear what orienteering personally means to members, especially during this difficult and challenging time. As such British Orienteering will be publishing an overall snapshot of all the entries shortly.
With that, we announce the winners of the competition - enjoy!
1st prize - Amanda Crawshaw | South Yorkshire Orienteers (SYO) | Lakes 5 Days.
“This photo is a celebration of the beauty, the fun, the opportunity and the community. All the things I hold dear and have missed terribly.”
-----
2nd prize – Jamie Masters | Cornwall Orienteering Club (KERNO) | Father and daughter sharing the joy of the sport.
“This was in Cornwall at Hustyns woods. My daughter loves going out and orienteering with me and the muddier the better for her. It's our little thing.”
-----
3rd prize – Chris Branford | Wimborne Orienteers (WIM)
“Happy Crowds at start of Boxing Day Canter 2016 at Moors Valley Country Park, Dorset.”
Congratulations to the winners. Thank you to everyone who took part.
