2020 has been a year like no other for the world and for British Orienteering and the sport of Orienteering. However, among all of the challenges there have also been many positive things worth highlighting and celebrating.
The global pandemic has spurred us all on to be more flexible, more creative and there have been many new initiatives developed across our sport by clubs and members along the way.
We all probably can't wait to write off 2020 - and move into 2021 as quickly as possible. However, it is also a good opportunity to reflect and look back over the year of 2020 which has been a year like no other.
Jennie Taylor Communications Officer at British Orienteering has been looking back over 2020 and has pulled together a snapshot for each month of 2020 of the news that has already been published – it hopefully will work as a reminder of the positive things that have been achieved during a very challenging and difficult year.
During the next eleven days starting today (21 December) British Orienteering will be publishing a overview snapshot article for every month in 2020, every day at 15:00, through to 31 December 2020 - keep an eye out for them.
During these last remaining days of the year of 2020, let’s look back over this extremely challenging year, reflect back on the difficult times and acknowledge the positives before looking forward to the next new orienteering year.
