The club comments:
“Edinburgh University Orienteering Club are thrilled to be receiving this award in a spectacularly unusual year. We have really pushed to deliver a training programme online for all our members, no matter what part of the world they have been isolating in. Our thrice weekly Zoom core sessions were a new addition that we hope to continue once ‘normality’ returns and our huge Munro-climbing fundraiser for Scottish Mountain Rescue allowed our members to collectively challenge themselves to achieve a common goal. From appointing an Inclusion and Wellbeing Officer to forming a focus group on Gender Equality in Orienteering, we hope to maintain our reputation as a progressive, welcoming and dynamic club. A huge thank you goes to our outstanding committee who have balanced full-time studies with running EUOC and providing a fantastic service to our peers which has undoubtedly made the past year a much more enjoyable one. Thank you to British Orienteering for presenting us with this award and acknowledging our achievements this year, all be it if they didn’t get us on top of a podium!”

Congratulations to all members of the Edinburgh University Orienteering Club (EUOC).
