This project will be predominately based in communities with higher-than-average social deprivation with an aim to increase activity levels and social wellbeing.  This is a three-year project and will grow year on year, ultimately expanding Virtual Orienteering opportunities within 12 areas.

Kay comments:  "Being relatively new to orienteering and only joining my club, Pendle Forest Orienteers in late 2019, I have become passionate about the sport, its growth, and direction. Having experienced first-hand what a successful and progressive collaboration with local Sport/Activity Partnerships can do for an orienteering club and being a part of the innovative work at Pendle Forest Orienteers over the past 18 months I am thrilled to be able to expand on this potential nationally with British Orienteering.  I feel there is no better time to embrace the use of technology and the growth of Virtual Orienteering within the UK to widen the appeal of such a great sport."

We wish you well in your new role Kay.
