British Orienteering is delighted to announce Annual Volunteer Award Winners

British Orienteering Annual Volunteer and Mapping Awards Winners have been announced.  

Today we were delighted to present the British Orienteering Annual Awards after a wonderful day of Orienteering competition in Swansea on Day 1 of the JK. The awards were presented as part of the prize ceremony celebrations.  

These annual awards are reflective of the achievements from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2021.

The winners of the 2021 British Orienteering Annual Volunteer Awards are... 

Winners of the Volunteer of the Year Award

This award is shared this year between Katherine Bett, Southern Navigators, and Peter Mailiphant, Bristol Orienteering Klub.

Fiona Bunn and Helen Ockenden, Edinburgh University Orienteering Club.

Winner of the Peter Palmer Coach of the Year Award

Continued Services Awards recognise and celebrate the volunteer efforts of those in our sport who have contributed greatly over an extended period of time.

Over the coming week, we will be spotlighting the work and achievements of all the award winners and of the runners-up for each award. 

The online celebration will start on Monday 18 April with a spotlight on two of the awards each day over a length of six days. 

The announcements will start on Monday 18 April and will run daily through to Saturday 23 April at 10:00 and 14:00 each day.
