Twelve athletes from Great Britain have joined over 200 athletes who have made their way to North Western Switzerland to compete in the FISU World University Orienteering Championships, with five Championship races over five days.
All the action so far...
Day 1: 17 August 2022 - Individual Sprint
Wednesday saw the start of the event with the Individual Sprint, held in flat urban terrain in the cities of Biel/Bienne. GB Rachel Brown was the highest place finisher in 18th position in the women’s and GB Peter Molloy in the men’s (32nd). Unfortunately, an error from two of the athletes cost them valuable time and positions and they will hope to put this behind them as they look forward to the forthcoming races.

Day 2: 18 August 2022 - Individual Long Distance
Thursday saw the Individual Long distance where alongside the Middle distance and Forest Relay took place in terrains with moderate to steep hillsides with good runnability and visibility.
GB Fiona Bunn finished in 12th position with GB Matthew Gooch just missing out on the top 20.

Today is Day 3: 19 August 2022 - Mixed Sprint Relay
Today sees the Mixed Sprint Relay where the GB team will hope to continue their success in the race after the World Orienteering Championships and World Games Medals.
The Great Britain team of Flurry Grierson, Fiona Bunn, Peter Molloy, and Cecilie Andersen will start at 13:30 and you can follow all the action live here.
