Congratulations go to Ben Kyd MDOC, who has firmed up his claim to be World no. 1 in virtual TempO with overall victories in both the Hungarian TORUS Trophy, held once a month throughout 2022, and the TORUS Christmas Trophy, 12 events held 3 days a week during December. Ben also achieved the best-ever TempO Final result by a British athlete, 21st, at the World TrailO Championships in July.
The best 9 results from the 12 competitions count in both TORUS events. Ben won the Hungarian Trophy for the second year running, this time by a big margin of almost 26 points over the German Ralph Körner. The Christmas Trophy result was much closer; 4.33 points separated Ben from second-placed Italian Marcello Lambertini.
Tom Dobra TVOC in 23rd place was the second Brit. in the final Hungarian results, while it was Robert Finch NGOC who took the second-Brit. honours in the Christmas Trophy, finishing 38th.
