GB star and WOC22 bronze medalist announces her retirement from the GB squad.
Alice has been a part of the GB squad from the junior age groups, being a member of the senior squad since 2015. Her commitment, focus and skill cumulated in a much-deserved bronze medal in the World Orienteering Championships in 2022. Aside from this success, she has been at the top of the sport in the UK, with Championship wins behind her name.

'I’ve had a fantastic run for the past 8 years. It was always my intention that I would retire in 2022, and I would’ve done so without a second thought had the pandemic not happened and were WOC 2024 taking place anywhere else but Edinburgh.
Despite how much I would’ve loved to end my orienteering career full circle in Scotland, I’m so fortunate to have experienced a home World Champs already, and I’m ready for new goals and motivations now.
Competing in six World Championships and winning a WOC medal is more than anything I could’ve ever dreamed of, and I am more than satisfied to leave it there.
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in the journey. It's been a privilege to compete for Great Britain, and I’m excited to follow the team’s successes to 2024 and beyond.'

We would like to thank Alice for her drive, commitment and inspiration for the sport over her years competing, and we look forward to seeing her next adventures.
Thank you Alice!
