The Junior World Orienteering Championships concluded today with two exciting relays! The terrain was similar to yesterday’s middle distance – moderately hilly with many contour details and plenty of forkings for the relay courses.
Although GB had two Mens and two Womens teams on the start line, as it is a World Championship event only the first team is counted on the final results list.
In the Mens, the team of Ben Squire, James Hammond and Euan Tryner finished in 10th position and in the Womens, Imogen Pieters, Daisy McNamara and Isobel Howards finished in 13th. Switzerland and Finland both claimed the gold medals.
Well done to all our athletes who competed in this year competition and a special shout out to all the team managers and parents who captured the below shots.
