Berkshire Orienteers are pleased to announce the dates for the British TrailO Weekend which will incorporate the British Trail Orienteering Championships 2024! The events will take place from Saturday 12 - Sunday 13 October 2024.
- Experience the technical challenges that make TrailO a unique test of map reading skills.
- 3 events which provide plenty of opportunities for competitors to discover the different TrailO event formats
- All are welcome to come and test your skills whilst competing alongside the UK top TrailO Specialists.
There will be three events which will include the 3 main TrailO formats
Saturday 12 October
- PreO event at Burnham Beeches. Both a Championship course and an ‘A Class’ course will be available. Competitors can choose to tackle the Championship course or to opt for the less demanding A Class course. The results for the Championship course will determine the 2024 British TrailO (PreO) Champions based on 3 classes: Open, P Class (Physically Challenged) and Junior.

Sunday 13 October
- TempO event at Reading University (Whiteknights Campus). A single Championship course will be open to all competitors. The results for the event will determine the 2024 British TrailO (TempO) Champions based on 2 classes: Open and Junior. [There is no separate P Class for TempO]
- PreO Sprint event also at Reading University. A single course suitable for all competitors
Overall British TrailO Champions: Based on the results of the Championship PreO event and the TempO event, the overall 2024 British TrailO Champions will be determined. Trophies will be awarded to the overall Champions: Open, P Class and Junior.
All 3 events are suitable for those with physical disabilities with the tracks being suitable for wheelchairs.
All 3 events will contribute the 2024 British TrailO League (BriTOL).
More information on how to enter will be confirmed in due course, however pre-Entry for all 3 events closes end of Sunday 6th October. There may be very limited entry on the day for the PreO A Class and the PreO Sprint (not the Championships courses) as long as spare maps are available – to guarantee an entry, pre-enter by the deadline!
