Oxford University Orienteering Club's biennial Oxford City Race took place at the end of October. It is an exciting urban event due to the permissions it is able to get from the university and its colleges to include their land in the course. This weekend, Nottinghamshire Orienteering Club hosted a UK and East Midlands Urban League event in the heart of Nottingham City. Hilary Palmer discusses challenges the club had to overcome ahead of the event and how all the hard work paid off to attract a great number of participants who enjoyed their experience of orienteering in Nottingham.
