Berkshire Orienteers are pleased to announce the dates for the British TrailO Weekend which will incorporate the British Trail Orienteering Championships 2024! The events will take place from Saturday 12 - Sunday 13 October 2024.
There are plenty of accessible orienteering routes that are available Nationwide. These are routes that our course planners have designed for those with reduced mobility, require a wheelchair, or want to orienteer with their young children who still require a pram.
Below are some links to where you can find accessible courses and some recommendations for clubs who are thinking of ways they can incorporate a couple of accessible routes across their courses to help more people access their events.
With a variety of accessible courses available Nationwide (many of which are free!) search the Go Orienteering site and print your own maps, or use your phone via the MapRun app!
There are a number of events that our clubs organise, designed especially for newcomers and have accessible routes. So go along, meet up with club members and try orienteering!
